These clips are from longer interviews filmed and edited by Alan Bucknam of Notchcode Creative. The interviews took place in Trinidad, Colorado in August 2019 and are part of a joint project led by: The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety’s Inactive Mine Reclamation program to document the oral histories of people who worked in Colorado’s now-abandoned mines (contact person, Lisa Thompson; see also their interviews from ); Yolanda Romero, Director of the Southern Colorado Coal Miners Museum in Trinidad, who selected the people to be interviewed, handled the local logistics and conducted the actual interviews; With assistance provided by the University of Colorado Boulder’s Latino History Project.
